As one of the Gems of Spain's Mediterranean coast, Barcelona is one of the most popular travel destinations in all of Europe. With its sun drenched coastline and vast array of sights and attractions, including some of the best Art Nouveau architecture in the world, this is a city that is a must see on your next Western European tour. While there is enough history and architecture here to make your head spin, there is also some other amazing activities and attractions available here that offer a refreshing change of pace to your sightseeing duties.

Nou Camp is a place that football lovers come to see some of the best matches in all of Europe and the home team of FC Barcelona is a tremendously successful club. The stadium is the largest in all of Europe and has hosted a myriad of huge events over the years. Tours of the stadium are available which give a great look into the exciting history of the events that have taken place here and if you are lucky enough to get tickets to catch a match here be sure to jump on it.

When in Barcelona, a trek to Guell Park is also a fun activity. This large park features to work of Gaudi, and is also quite possibly the best place to get a great view of the cityscape. Located in close proximity to other important sites nearby, this is a great place to stop in and take a break from your day of sightseeing in Barcelona.

The Magic Fountain of Montjuic in Barcelona is a great place to visit and is one of the best free attraction in all of Barcelona. The dancing fountains perform to a color, light and musical display that gives the area an excellent ambiance to come and enjoy the fountain show with your group of travelers. The majestic fountains shoot high overhead while music plays in the square near Montjuic Hill. Travelers from around the world come here in large numbers each year, but if you plan on coming by keep in mind that the fountain is closed Monday through Wednesday.
